Me: Evil Kirk!
Mom: Ah, did you just watch Mirror, Mirror?
Me: No, there was no evil Spock running around.
Mom: The one with the android, then?
Me: ... How often does this happen?
Mom: Well....
Me: Mother, it only ran for three seasons! Surely they had other things to do!
Mom: Well, clearly they had detachable ids. "Detachable ids", now there's a nifty phrase...

Also, Bones keeps brandy in the sickbay. Just fyi.

Lessee. There's Kirk-split-by-the-transporter, android duplicate Kirk, Mirror Kirk, Kirk-after-a-mindswap, and Kirk-after-another-mindswap. I'm probably missing at least one.

... They really like Evil!Kirk, don't they? I mean, that is really often for a three season show.

I know it's probably cliche at this point, but my favorite episode was always City on the Edge of Forever. Have you seen that one yet?

Oh--and the one with Jack the Ripper's spirit body-jumping. The guy who did Piglet's voice in the original Pooh cartoons was one of those body-jumped.

Oh! And the one with the miners and the brides they buy that Kirk and crew have to trasport, and they turn out being not quite so pretty without some enhancing drugs. (But they are anyway. Makeup rings around lovely eyes didn't manage to produce ugly.)

I wish my brain weren't so incapable of recall that I could bring up the episode names without someone telling me them first. Sigh...I'd blame age, but I've always been this way.

I haven't seen any of those episodes yet, though I've heard of City on the Edge of Forever. I'm watching the series in order and it might take me a while to get through the whole thing.
